Shippo's New House

Shippo bought a new house and he has not yet gotten used to it.

He hasn't decided where he will post up as the guard dog yet. Will it be standing guard at the front door? Will it be at the top of the stairs like the final boss of a video game?

I think he prefers the front door where he can watch everyone pass by.

Water water everywhere!

We are always under the threat of water damage and flooding

Whenever we have rain in our forecast we can always expect to have the porch completely flooded. When the rain goes on for more than an hour, then you even see things floating away!

Our new neighbors above have been quite busy with finding ways to flood our kitchen and bathrooms. We can't wait to get out of here and into our own townhouse, no more stomping, no more flooding, no more irresponsible people living around us.

The neighbor above also broke some of our pots and plants and thought they could just get away with it?! Let's just put them on blast here.

This is a photo captured minutes before the neighbor upstairs dropped something over his balcony and broke the clay pot.

And here is the neighbor coming down and retrieving the evidence. Notice that the pot is gone!

And here is Shippo too lazy to get up from the suspicious crashing noise.

Centipedes!

Ever day there we find 1~3 centipedes in the house, on average, and these are just the ones that we actually find in plain sight!

Here is one in the kitchen near the dining room.

Here is one in the 2nd bed room near the entrance.

I can't even begin to imagine how many are still roaming around inside the apartment?! This is has gotten so bad that I have to keep the vacuum plugged in a near by all the time. Oh, and centipedes are not the only issue, FLIES!

Hundreds of flies outside the apartment! Of course, the flies also get inside the house. You can sit in the living room looking out the glass slide doors, and then a fly appears. Where are they coming in from?! It's clear they are coming in from outside because there hundreds of flies buzzing around the building like someone is hiding dead bodies near by.

Summer time come bugs

So, Shippo got his "summer cut" today. 

He must like it. He's got the zoomies.

WHAT ARE THOOOSE!!

Three giant bugs!!? Where did they come from??

Must have been from the bathtub? Hurry and cover it up!

Water dripping from ceiling!

So it's 9:45pm and there is the loud sound of water drops hitting the floor. Out of curiosity, mama goes into the kitchen to investigate.

The ceiling has a steading dripping of water splashing all over the carpet and walls!

Water fills up this bowl and then emptied back out into the sink.

Multiple spots on the ceiling are starting leak! The maintenance man came by to see the problem on our ceiling then to the unit upstairs. A lot of noise going on upstairs.

The dripping is getting worse. What is going on up there!?

UPDATE:

The maintenance man told us that the dishwasher above was broken and was leaking water through the floor.

Then he punched a few holes in the ceiling to help get the water out of the ceiling. He also told us that he forgot to turn on the gas in the building so the pilot light went out on the hot water tank. That explains why there was no hot water today.

Don't drink that water Shippo!

The sink pipe problem, again.

So, Shippo notices the leaking pipes under the master bathroom sink. The maintenance here at Margate Manor said that they had fixed it the last time we reported/complained about it. The pipes are leaking again, goes to show the quality of workmanship here. Just... quality....

As you can see, we had to put a shelf here because the last time pipes leaked, everything on the bottom got completely wet and stuff was damaged.

Wait, what is this?

Ah! More black mold! The Margate Manor maintenance at it's finest! Why can't they get this right the first time??

Korean Pears

Got some delicious Korean pears but I cannot find the peeler. This is the second peeler that has gone missing from my kitchen!! Who is coming in here and stealing my peelers?? I digress.

Cut up the pears and Shippo got to have some of that delicious, juicy pear.

Look at him go!

He actually bit my finger in the process and didn't even care!
